As we meditate and stay focused on the breath or mantra often times the mind will wander and other thoughts will come in.
When they do we recognize they are there and let them drift away and go back to our main focus of the breath or mantra. When doing so it is very helpful to engage nonjudgmental awareness.
Using this concept helps us openly explore, encourage, and relax as we dive in with vigor and desire to find many treasures that have been hidden for a long time. Here is a quote from that article:
"The beauty of a non-judgmental stance is that all the negative or positive garbage we’re accustomed to telling ourselves about suddenly stops and a gentle feeling — tone takes us over. Our humanity is strengthened and we can open up to others more freely.”
